Even though Texas quarterback Arch Manning won't start the Sugar Bowl against Washington,
he's still going to be ready to play in case Quinn Ewers gets hurt.
Texas offensive coordinator Kyle Flood has all the confidence in Manning based on how he's developed throughout his freshman year.
"We've got a ton of confidence in Arch. His progression throughout the year has been excellent," Flood said.
Manning made his Longhorns debut back on Nov. 24 against Texas Tech and completed two-of-five passes for 30 yards.
He also rushed for seven yards on three carries.
In a perfect world, Texas gets to keep developing him heading into next year
but that could all change if something happens to Ewers on Monday.
Texas is set to play Washington with a trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on the line.
Kickoff will be at 8:45 p.m. ET.
